Aesthetic beauty.  Siberian Larch has at least 12-tone hues and in this respect, it is superior to the precious wood such as oak, beech, ash, maple. Coloring range is from almost white with a slight touch of yellow up to dark reddish - brown shades. But the basic tone is amber. The surface has a silky luster. Such tonal difference is explained by a tree growing location, soil chemical elements' composition and geology. Annual rings are well defined; they can be easily seen on every transversal section of the wood and provides a beautiful texture to the planed surfaces, like that of red oak. Radial and tangential cuts remind a composition of ash-tree, but with sharper transitions from early to late timber. Untreated larch wood used in outdoor works with time (sun, rain, snow and wind) remains silvery gray shaded that gives the building a romantic and antique appearance.

Health properties. Since Siberian larch has grown in unaffected Siberian taiga forests, it has not faced with manmade pollution. It is not only ecologically clean wood, but it even has medicinal properties. Larchwood’s medical properties are specified by biologically active substances, phytoncides and antioxidants, which help the organism to wrestle against aging and various diseases in circumstances where stressing, polluted environment and radiation are prevalent. Phytoncides spreads in the air and purify it from harmful microbes. These biologically active components are released from wood throughout the whole life cycle of larch wood, regardless of whether the tree is in taiga, or in your home.

Fire resistance and thermal conductivity: Siberian larch has a high fire resistance and low thermal conductivity. According to the studies of Moscow State's Forest University, larch resistance to fire is twice as high as pine or spruce. While, low thermal conductivity, for houses of larch wood, provides a slow heat drain in winter and inflow in summer. So, in homes built of larch, winter is warm, but summer - pleasantly cool.
